london
I am now in a happy position of too many activities to chose from that i want to do wishing i could split myself into two or three people so i can do them.
it is a lot like the rich with so many cars and houses and possessions he just cannot do them all. and have to select or in despair neglect to experience them in the end and leaving his cars and houses unattended and lying abandoned.
i can go swimming , go to the gym as the new gym i have joined has opened its doors. i also want to roam london, visit friends, make new friends, go to the library to borrow books and find time to read them, read the newspapers in the library as well as online.
so many things to do, and i am in this happy time in my life when i can pick and chose. it is a nice life.
and i can still enjoy the occasional freebie, like the free coffee given out in a voucher in the telegraph by uppercrust, the sandwich chain that operates in stations. they have two branch in victoria, and i used both of them to get my free coffee... it seems the vouchers are available each day. i have been trying out their mocha, and i have the medium cup, but ok it is free so i should not complain, but i think it is rather dilute.
maybe the small cup will be more tasteful. though i would have thought that they should increase the amount of coffee and chocolate if the cup is bigger. the small costs £2.35, medium £2.60.
i should not criticise of course as it is free, but if i were to pay i think i wont like it.
they are a pricey chain, their baguette sandwiches are like £4 each. granted other sandwich shops sell sliced bread whilst they seem to go for baguettes.
of course it is way cheaper if u just buy the baguettes and make them yourself. as making your own coffee and putting it in a thermos to drink later.
if u cook yourself, you can have stir fry rice or noodles and any variety of dishes for your lunch and all at a fraction of the cost.
do anyone make their own lunch nowadays?
There are a lot of pop up hawker like stalls selling lunch in and around london these days. they are about £5.
I still think it is pricey.
but then i am so used to cooking my own meals, it is easy for me to do and i just cannot bring myself to buy. my own cooking tastes so much better than anything i can buy.
the only thing i might buy is a whopper at burgerking but that is because i found a voucher for a 2for1 offer in one of the tabloid newspaper. that is quite a good voucher offer. i shall wait for john to come visit me and we can get a whopper each using that voucher.
Added 28.9.12 john and i went to theis burgerking after our naked night out and used the 2for1 voucher for a whopper and royale sandwich. john wanted the sandwich. i wanted the whopper.
i used to like the whopper but i had not eaten one for about 10yrs, (i think as it is so long i forgot when exactly)and this one is strangely lacking. it still had the lovely chargrilled taste, but there was no cheese, nor mayonnaise dressing, nor onion rings or gherkins(if there were any there were too few to taste) and not much salad. it looked strangely empty whilst i remember in the past it was rather full of stuff.
and john said his chicken royale was rather tasteless.
whilst there , two guys were eating a hamburger which has double meat in it. i asked them how much... £2, and it was the special on offer. he said the poster outside will tells what is what on any day.
later when we left , we saw the poster, and it list the various days and telling what is offerred .
our meal came to £3.89 so it came to about £2 each and that is with the voucher. price has gone up a lot since i last bought a whopper. it was about £2.60 or so then.
i think the daily specials are a good offer if u like eating there.
but me, i think i shall make my own pack lunch.
john is finding a lot of reasons to come down to london now. within this two months he is visiting me 3times.
i must warn him to bring his water bottle and long johns when he comes in oct as it might get cold and i dont have the heating.
Well that is what any visitors to my place should accept if they want to stay at my place. haha.
john is coming to attend naked parties on each occasion.
and we shall most probably go to the naked sex clubs again.
added 28.9.12
we went to the sex club last night. we wanted to go to the naked night after 7pm and thought since john wants to play in the cubicle before it gets busy we shall go before 7pm when we thought it will be underwear . also we can get in for £6 .
it turned out it was not an underwear , and that we can change into naked after 7pm by going to the cloakroom to retrieve our basket.
john told me he was busy in the cubicle having great fun, taking it in turns with a young guy who is danish looking and tall when one of the staff came knocking and announcing that everyone should get naked.
so it looked like we have stumbled on a cost saving tip. go there before 7pm and save £1. haha.
u can still get a lot of fun , in the cubicles, whilst waiting for the full fledge naked fun later.
i saw two guys i know there. one of them is a friend who told me about this place. he came up and chatted and i said do u know this is the first time i have seen u naked. and i grabbed his cock and said it looks good too. he has a big one even though not erect. always a good visual thing in a sex club.haha. he is not on viagra he said so cannot walk around with a huge hard -on like a lot of the other guys there.
i know plenty of guys will freak out when they see their social friends naked at a place like this, and i know a few of our mutual friends will be most embarrassed if they see us there.
lucky our friend was not shy about it, even though he is not really a social nudist. he said he much preferred the underwear night, like the one on wednesday. he said it was really busy.
simon was telling me that a pint of beer now costs £5 in pubs so that made me think this club is really good value for money. in that the £6 entry gives u a free drink and free cloakroom.
simon said they basically are giving u free entry for the price of a drink and cloakroom. no wonder they are so popular. and so central too.
i wonder how the ordinary pubs survive if they are charging so much for nothing else. no sex or anything.
would u hang around a pub, even a gay one just to socialise with other gay guys and no chance of getting it off with them? maybe if it has a toilet where u can... otherwise why? it is too much hassle to go back to his place or your place. and to make a date later is doomed to failure as he most probably wont turn up. you have to catch a guy when he is horny, otherwise he wont be interested.
maybe there are some who like to date and have romantic dinners etc. but frankly i myself wont want to bother as it is a waste of time and money when we can get straight down to it and enjoy the sex.haha.
places like this sex club are popular because u can have lotsof different types of men to play with everytime u go. london is so large and full of visitors from overseas as well as in the rest of the country there is no danger of just having the same guys appear all the time.
in the past, these sex clubs will be outside westminster boroush because westminster in those days refuse to license such clubs, but obviously they have changed their policy.
when shops are closing westminster must realise they cannot be too choosy who they license. haha.
so my wish to have the city centre become a red light district may well come true. haha.
i dont go to pubs haha. but then i dont drink. and have not gone to one even so, because nothing happens there. it is damn difficult to chat to guys in a pub, either the music is too loud or the guys are cruising and not interested in chat.
it is marginally easier to chat guys up in coffee shops. and coffee is cheaper than beer though not by much. even then it is only possible to chat to guys who are sitting near u. it takes a brave soul to approach someone out of the blue sitting some distance away.
if u get rejected it is so obvious and embarrassing.
and this is only conversation. and i have reached a time of my life when i dont want to waste time chatting when i can go straight to the sex. haha. i dare say a lot of us gay guys think like this. at least those of us who are long time on the scene.
only the new comers want to chat and know more about that person before they have sex with them. it is something i too used to think i want haha. long ago in my naive days. now of course i found out u dont have to know anything about that person to enjoy great sex with him. in fact it is better not to know too much about him.haha.
then it is important to just move away to another part of the place. dont go to the next guy and chat him up because u might find that guy wont want to be seen to be second best.
the reason why i say this is because it happened to me last night. no,i was not the one who was rejected, but i was sitting across from someone who was wanking his hardon and a black guy came up to him and made to suck him and he gestured no and the black guy came to sit next to me instead and i left him.
i think i should not have done that but to talk to him for a bit. after all the guy is allready embarassed at being rejected not to have to get rejected again by me, and he only wanted conversation.
i feel bad about that. i hope he will not take it personally. which is the kind of advise i would give to any one who finds himself in the same situation.

bring back the red light district
london
I saw this article in the bbc news
Town centres will need to market themselves as convenient hubs for picking up products ordered online if they are to thrive into the next decade, a report says.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19679104
I wonder why people must always automatically think that town centres means providing more shopping centres, selling things to people. why not services? and i dont mean hairdressing haha.
It got me to thinking why not make town centres have red light districts.
after all, look at all the big cities that have grown big... they all have red light districts, soho in london, and redlight district in amsterdam, berlin, etc, etc.
I bet u they all started with these red light districts and that drew the crowds and then businesses for food to feed the crowds and so on.
and it could cater to all sexualities.
in the past the red light districts were restricted to the straight clientele, but we are living in a age of liberation, and so can embrace gays, nudists, and any thing u can think of.
that means any amount of fetish and sexual practises.
And it does not mean that they should be commercial premises.
thus we can have a gay centre full of streets like mazes and glory holes for guys to cruise as well as gay sex clubs, discos, porn shops etc.
and toilets specially designed for cruising.
and we can cater to nudists too by having an area with streets and shops where u can be clothes optional.
as well as an area for straights and transvestites.
and it will attract a vast crowd of eager customers, both gay and straight, and businesses will follow to cater to this crowd, so restaurants, cafes etc will follow.
most people are horrified because they keep thinking that town centres should be children friendly.
but that is a fallacy.
children have no business in town centres.
they should be kept in the suburbs where they have quiet fields etc to play in
towns should be for adults.
once we change our attitude to making town centres adults only, we can make things happen.

within this week
london
Within this week i have been experiencing two extremes of emotions in sex clubs. one was very sexciting, the other was dull.
a guy in the first club offered me £20 to have sex with him . haha. he has a nice big cock which immediately interested me. its unusual to offer money in these sex clubs. thanks to him i really got into the mood for it.
maybe that was why that club turned out to be so sexciting.
Just goes to show it does depand on pot luck when u go to a sex club. the better club was £7, and include a free drink; on thursday evening (i chosed a can of cider which was v nice)whilst the dull one which was on sunday evening (which i hasten to add was only my experience, as many were having a great time.) was £7.50. Actually if u like being fucked and fucking it is a great venue. and in both venues there were condoms and lube freely available for the taking. actually both were great venues for sex, but the 2nd one suffered by comparison with my experience in the first one.
john is here to visit me , from poole, and that is why i find myself in the sex clubs. normally i dont bother to go. i must say when i do go i enjoy myself very much. haha.
we went naked swimming too but there were only 8guys there even though we were told by the organiser that it was an unofficial opening, meant to give women a chance to attend and they were promoting it to them and not informing the men about it; but obviously no women took up the offer. the organiser said they wanted more women as the sessions were full of men. the cost of entry was £5. the official opening is next week.
We only know it was opened because we called the venue and asked them if the naked swimming was on and were told it was.
there had been no notice of it in any other media. usually we would hear of it opening from the many men naked websites we belong to.
the pool was closed over the summer, for renovations (i was told they did up the shower and changing room) and we know that the renovations finished on 3sept.
i am more convinced than ever that women are just not interested in being socially naked.
we went to soho to pick up the gay papers, and found out that on that day, was soho pink festival.
its funding has been curtailed when the mayor stopped subsidising it, so this year it is a pale shadow of previous years.
Ah well, nevermind, because i am not really interested in these things anymore.
what was incidentally of interest is that the gay shops there are concentrating on underwear with many choices and ranges , one with padded front pouches to accentuate the bulge. they are pricey at about £60 each. there was a sale on where some were sold for £50.
still very expensive.
and since john and i are into naked clubs we won't need underwear so we are not going to buy these. They will come in handy if we were interested in going to underwear nights though not sure about the pouches . guys will really clout u one if they think u got a big cock and find u had fooled them ....haha.
i think they should have concentrated on producing padded and shaped bottoms and backsides. that way guys can show a really nicely rounded bottom under their trousers and that would draw attention. haha. not to mention it will be very comfortable to sit on.
but then, what do i know of selling .
i was telling simon that if the world economy depands on people like me, who seldom find any reason to buy things, the economy would have tanked long ago.haha.
I find i am not really bothered about the news . i think it all a big fuss about nothing and a great waste of money about the hillingdon (cant be bothered to google how it is spelt) enquiry, that football deaths that happened so long ago. (Added. found out in the papers in the library it is hillsborough).
and the deaths of that family in the alps, i cannot be bothered with too.
they dont impinge on my life and hold no interest for me. that is why i skip the pages of chatter about these events.
so nice to grow older and not be bothered with all that and not feel guilty about it. i am happy to say i dont care . haha
Added. I forgot to write about our going to the olympic park on friday. or rather our not going to it. it was closed and so we wandered around the westfield shopping centre, not very interesting as it has shops that u can get anywhere in london. and it was very quiet, hardly anyone.
Did not realise that stratford is in zone 3. such a long way for me to go. costs john £2.80 single by tube on his oyster card. his freedom pass is issued in bournemouth so only valid for bus travel in england and wales. it was rather a wasted journey for john, because he wanted to see the olympic park . i thought they will close some sections of it, but instead they closed all of it. no wonder there was such a lot of talk in the papers about it closing.
we did get back by bus, 25 route, but it was such a long journey and it ended in holborn circus a stop before oxford circus its final stop.
what was more interesting was the stratford centre. it was packed with people and the poundland and 99p shop was so good that i ended up buying £3 worth . 3scissors, spectacle, pack of 6child toothbrushes.there were even 3packs of dental floss for £1.
During the olympic games some of the local shopkeepers say their business were affected, but i think it was the fact that u have to go through the westfield centre to get to the olympic park. now the olympics are over, people go back to shopping in their cheaper shops.
Added. 17.9.12 one of the scissors got caught in my drawer and snapped, but it is still useable. i dont mind it is so flimsy. what would u expect for the price right? as long as it cuts things properly. it turned out from this program on tv about it that poundland uses their own company to make the scissors and give them different brands to give customers the impression they have a choice.
That program on tv also talked about poundland reducing the number of kitkats from 9 to 8 and say it is 60%extra, whilst another has 9 kitkats and say it is 50% extra. of course if u are clever u never look at their claims but just check the weight.
at first whilst seeing the program i thought they will uncover evidence that poundland was selling fake goods, but not so. just old products of expensive branded goods that have been out of production. or children's toys that are flammable. Frankly everything is flammable if u put a match to it.
John's friend, who is a singaporean , living in bournemouth but on holiday in london now and staying with friends in vauxhall bought black hair dye. the kind that are sold for £7 in boots. here it was £1. he said he can get two coloring sessions out of each pack. hmm, maybe there are a lot of us coloring our hair to hide the white hairs. it might be more common than we think. we dont talk about it of course. so all those lovely black hair i see in thais guys and in indian guys may all come from a bottle. they do look nice and make the guys desireable.
i would highly recommend the place for the poundland and 99p shops. they are bigger than any poundland or 99p shops that i have been. i go usually to the ones in brixton.
