happenstance

found them. the top looked grungy, but it is only an impression in the photos. in real life they are not noticeable.

london
Tiny events make me happy.
I found these two small tables. They are very useful as i like to drink tea and want small tables like these to put my mug. They stack within each other, so dont take up much room when not used.
The surface is marked with cup rings, but that is ok. i dont mind. Their function is more important to me as a test of usefulness than their looks. Even then, i did find the scalloped edges quite appealing.
I was at the gym today, and found out that i have mislaid my razor holder. I thought , ah well just as well i got a spare, but it is inconvenient because the spare is in my bathroom and to be kept there whilst this one is for me to use in the gym and carry on holiday or overnight stays.
however, when i finished my shower and went to the sauna as i normally do, i saw my razor kept out of the way on the bench corner near the heater. It is a nice find. Don't know how long it was there, as i only shave occasionally and cannot remember when i used it. I know the gym policy is for the cleaner to remove all objects left in the changing room and throw them away.
(Added. 8.3.11. lost that razor yesterday. or rather found out the loss. i daresay i must have lost it a few days ago. I remember that day. I was distracted because the hotwater from the shower was cold and i asked the attendant and he said it failed just this morning. In all that confusion i forgot that i left my razor on top of the shower gel container. That day, i arrived early at the gym and the hot water must have gone wrong after i arrived, because i was not told. no wonder earlier whilst i was reading the papers, i saw a guy come in and after talking to the receptionist turned tail and left. I had thought that was rather peculiar behaviour. Now i know. haha. The showers are now too hot. )
I was very happy at finding it still in the gym.
(Now I am rather miffed that i lost it again. I would have used a rubber band to hold it to my member's card but the spare rubber band i carry for such an occasion like this broke. So it looks like my soul wants me to lose it. Ah well. )
I think finding things should be high in the list of what makes us happy. haha.
Finding sex in unexpected places should be one of them.
Or finding the sex is great when you didnot expect it , that i would include in this category too.
The latter happened at the naked party i went to recently.

my first naked party invite for 2011

london
I mentioned that the naked parties season is starting and i got my first invite to one yesterday. I heard from my friends that they were at a naked party in highgate last week, it has a hot tub. So there are naked parties all over that i did not know about.
It is wise to ration going to these parties. Do it too often and u get to see the same people and it can get boring.

yesterday's was different for me because it was in a small village near banbury... the town featured in the nursery rhyme 'ride a cock horse to banbury cross'.

I vaguely can remember the first line and had to google it to find out the rest. u can read it in the link and see why it was called a cock horse. sounds so suggestive haha.

Anyway, my friends asked me to go and they can provide me with a lift in their car , that is why i accepted. no way am i going there if i have to take a train.

One of the guys there, jonathon, who i know from a naturist group which is now defunct, said he travelled by train to banbury, changing at Reading, and then a taxi ride to the house.

he must be very keen, i would not have bothered. he had to stay overnight.

The hosts were two gay guys, who use their house as a naturist bed and breakfast.

Well, i did not hold high expectations from it, because even though i was told the hosts provide the two spare bedrooms as orgy rooms, i can never tell what i will do. Sometimes i dont go into the rooms at all, just socialising downstairs.

I went first to my friend's house in bushey, north london in the morning and we three drove up.

The sat nav did all the work, at one point took us via a small country unpaved muddy track. haha.

The original plan was to stop at banbury to see it and meet up with two other guys from london who were going there too, but we were late, so decided to head direct to the house. took us about 1.5hrs.

I thought the scenery will be interesting on the way there, but it was not quite inside the cotswold area, and so not so picturesque. it was just fields and hedgerows made bleaker by the mist and drizzle.

the house was pleasant enough, double height hall, large lounge, dining area , kitchen on ground floor. huge secluded garden not overlooked so can be naked outside in summer. in fact they are going to have a summer barbeque later this year.

two double bed bedrooms upstairs which were for his B&B guests. it is a 4bedroom house.

had a hot meal, which is nice. baked pasta beef.2 slow cooked pot chicken , rice,
lots of dessert choices. in the beginning people chatted downstairs. I have noticed that it is kind of hard to remember people's names and harder to remember whether i know them or not, as i dont recognise faces very well.
so can be rather embarrassing, as what happened to me when i did not recognise one of the hosts. haha. Ah well. nevermind.

After the meal, people drifted upstairs.

I did not go, but two guys who i met before asked me to go up and that was how i ended up there.
Well, in the end i did have a nice time after all. haha. Nothing like having things exceed expectations.

I put my name down for the summer barbeque, because my friends said they are going and asked me if I had put my name down. i only did because i can get a lift from them again.

there was a £5 charge. its reasonable because they provide a cooked meal and had to heat up their house. 30 guys were attending.

Hope the summer barbeque do not clash with my own naked bike ride party in june.

One of the host provide massage service with happy endings.
he is very good, as i found out upstairs, haha. so that might explain why he has customers who come for the B&B. They are bisexual married men.

today has been a day of mixed fortune

london

It started well, when i found a one day travel card in the street. It was from outside london to london zones 1-6 costing £32.
Rather a lot of money to lose not to mention that when he finds out he will have to buy another ticket to get back. it will be a costly loss.
Seeing it wont be of any use to the owner now, i thought i shall use it.
i could not really think how i can use it to maximum advantage as i dont really want to go to zone6. nothing there of interest to me, so i went to brixton instead.
i thought i shall buy some more ginger , but the ones i saw were rather old, so i bought 50p onions instead.
There were no bargains.
rita was out of her cafe when i passed by so i did not have a chance to greet her.
Then, i decided to go to liverpool station for brick lane to see if i can get some spices, like cinnamon , star anise.
but there were many restaurants there but very few grocery stores. i could not remember the one where i bought some anchovies quite a few years ago.
so that was a rather fruitless search.
Next stop , was edgeware road station, (not to be confused with edgeware station which is end of the northern line in zone 5)to visit the church street market, hoping to find some vegetables, but it was late and many stalls were closing, and there were no veg for £1 on sale.
so took the tube to picadilly circus, to chinatown where i got chinese cinnamon bark for 60p and chinese chives 68p . The chives were a bit soggy that was why they were reduced, but i wanted them as they are still good and half priced too.
so in the end, i got the spices in chinatown which i can walk to and dont need a free one day travel card.
The only good thing was that i could get the bus back which drop me right by my flat.
otherwise it would have been a long tiring walk back.
Now the bad thing that happened to me.
i got back and tried to get my email.
Earlier, i could not get in and had thought it was a fault at their end. they were doing some maintainance.
But i tried it again when i got back and it still wont let me get in.
the trouble was compounded because i could not remember the password. it has automatically been put in by my computer when i log in using the hotmail live software. and it was such a long time ago since i manually have to key it in, i forgot.
another problem was that i dont have another email addrss for them to send me the new password.
i realise it is important to have more than one email address, and not from the same provider. i have two hotmail.com addresses and i got locked out of both.
Anyway, i decided to open up a new email account with gmail. It was very easy to open an email account with them. i have no email for them to send to verify so i gave them my mobile number, and they text the code for me to enter. And that was it. So easy.
will have to let everyone know of my new email address now.
luckily i could still access some of my friend's email addresses stored in the computer via the hotmail live link.
What a palaver, this email business..!!
Dont know how it will affect this blog because it was set up using that hotmail.com address as the username. and whether any comments in this blog will be sent to my new gmail.com address or not.
ah well, just as well i dont have a business that rely on the hotmail.com address.
This is a warning to those who do business online and rely on a email address. if they get locked out of it, they lose everything.
I dont have anything to lose, thank goodness.
just a lot of my friend's email addresses.
Added. i just had a thought. should i have handed in the lost ticket to the ticket office/ if so, which one? the tube ticket office or the train ticket office and which tube or train station? or should i have handed it in to a police station?
the law is an ass sometimes i wonder whether it would be considered theft that i used it.
Recently, one freegan was caught taking food from a supermarket bin, discarded by the supermarket because of a powerfailure. she was charged with theft by finding (sounds like my case)and is standing trial. we shall all be interested in the outcome. she opt for trial by jury and i hope she gets acquitted and the case thrown out of court for wasting the court's time.

spring is coming

london

A clear sign that spring is coming is the cherry blossoms bursting into bloom. That is what is happening in St james park. And synchronising it is crocuses and snowdrops bursting out all over.

And daffodils shooting up their spears.

and gay guys are also throwing naked parties again.

The naked season is coming out of hibernation.

I love living in london. And not for the same reasons when i first came here.
Its really great and shows how wonderful london is that it can accomodate the changing needs of everyone who lives here.
It is truly the case that if u r tired of london, you are tired of life.

There is a big influx of people coming and going in london that can make everyone's taste to be catered for.

In the past, I love london for being so liberal and i can be gay without the law coming down on me. That is still the case, and there are lots of gay clubs still providing all the night life that i used to like.
But my tastes have changed and london is still able to cater to them. Now i like being nudist, and there are lots of nudist gay guys here in london who throw naked parties , and there are lots of clubs catering to us nudist with naked nights. (and sex thrown in too). And it is so easy to get to the naturist places in europe.

In the past, i love the fashion scene, and shopping, and was able to indulge in it. Now i have changed and i have moved on but there is still the fashion scene available for others who are coming up.

In the past, i love to eat out, and used to go try out the many restaurants in the capital, and the many cuisines. Now i dont, but there are still plenty of that for those who like it.

In the past, i love to go see the museums exhibits , not so much now, but it is great to know they are there. Its all free too, and believe me it would take a lifetime to finish off seeing all the stuff they have in the museums and art galleries; The only things u have to pay are the special exhibitions, and even then they are not expensive when u consider the world class quality of those things on show there. I dont go anymore because i dont fancy just seeing things nowadays, but i am sure it must be a big thrill for others.

This city caters to expensive tastes, for those who have the money there are lots people who are masters of their art to provide things they can spend their money on, and it also have simple pleasures for those of us who dont, or dont want to spend.

It's got everything for everyone.

Rich and poor alike.

Now, I love that I can get books to read without paying for them. The libraries supply me with a steady provision of new books and that to me who love to read is paradise.

The tv provides films and documentaries and programs that are very good, which you will realise the lack if u were to live in places like malaysia, where the tv programs are dire, the local efforts are hopeless and the mainly usa imports are dire. and censored.

This week there is daily showings of audrey hepburn films on tv. I have not seen funny girl, and sabrina before, and was able to see them now. Can't say what all the praise was about haha. but glad to be able to see it for free and judge for myself.

And of course those who have read this blog will know of the cheap food bargains that i can buy at the supermarket. I think it is only possible in london. Certainly when i go to visit john in poole, i can never see the same bargains in the supermarkets there.

And regular readers of this blog will know of the wonderful things i can get for free in the recycling bins and discards from charity shops.

Even the weather is warmer in london than elsewhere in the uk.

I cannot think of another city that has everything for everyone and can cater to them even when they change and cater to people who are thrifty as well as spendthrift.

And so many gay guys come to london, u wont have lack of guys to enjoy. haha.

bargains

50p chicken , all this cost £3.80
london
I hope people are not fed up with me showing how much cheaper i can get food.
Normally i would not bother to blog tonight's haul, but it is exceptional.
chicken 2kg for 50p from £5. it was at sainsburys. and not only so cheap but there were so many of them, i took 4, and there were still lots left.earlier i got 2packs of mince beef 500mg 40p each , and 2packs mince beef 770mg 50p each. It was getting so heavy my shopping. i left behind2packs 500mg of parsnips 10p each.
added next day. I popped in the next day and saw one pack of parsnips at 10p left over from last night and bought that. roast parsnips goes very well with roast chicken.

Recently, i could not find any bargains for chicken so tonight's haul was very welcomed. I shall roast 3, and cook a soya sauce chicken with the 4th. This lot will fill up my freezer.

I had a email from a friend who said he suffers from bipolar depression, SAD and ME. And i wonder if he will feel happy if he got such bargains too.

Personally i think depression is all in the mind. It has a chemical basis, but i think that is triggered by the brain and i am of the firm believer of moods being directly influenced by the mind. And if the mind gets into that state where gloomy weather means it must be a sad day, than of course, that mind will feel sad and depressed.

Or if the mind feels its life must be meaningful, than it will feel depressed if it sees that its life now is quite purposeless.

All our living is purposeless, because like the lilies of the valleys, it is enough for us to be alive and to enjoy being alive. If people will be happier if they realise that life is meaningless and ther is no need to have a purpose;

for someone who has been told they have only days to live, life becomes very precious and not taken for granted. If people were to realise that, they wont feel depressed but be very happy that they are alive to enjoy the day.

Perhaps those who are depressed should be told they have terminal cancer and have a month to live. then after a week, they can be told it is not true. i bet they will be jumping for joy and i hope they will then see how stupid they were to be depressed before.

But maybe they wont.
haha. people are funny that way. you cannot tell how they will reacte. i bet u some will sue the doctor for giving them that good news.

That is why i am equable in my feelings , neither happy nor unhappy with people who , on the one hand, have found out they are cured and on the other hand, with others who get depressed with life.
My philosophy is 'whatever happens , happens'; and is neither good nor bad since we do not know what the future outcome of that seemingly bad or good fortune will be.

So whatever happens to others, and however they interpret it, their souls want it.

I bet you for someone who is determined to be depressed, even winning £1million is not enough to lift them off the depression. Most probably they will be even more depressed because they did not win £2million or £50million.

Anyway, i am delighted at tonight's haul.

I wonder where are the usual crowd of eastern europeans? there were only two other guys , locals, and we witnessed the shop assistant removing the first batch of reduced foods. lots of breaded meats and minced beef.(the breaded meats were chicken kiev which even reduced from £3.30 to 50p did not tempt me to buy.
The chicken were allready marked down to £3.30 each. Not a good bargain at that price that is why so many left. We all know that soon she will be coming back with them with the final reduction. And even after i got the minced beef, which was in the first batch, i hung around because i saw her collecting the chicken, and i could see there were masses of them. I thought she would reduce them to £1, so 50p is really the lowest i have seen it reduced by.
It is a puzzle to me why they dont reduce it to half of £5 to £2.50 when there is a good chance of it being sold. Instead they reduce it to £3.30 which compares badly with other offers of 3 for £10. Perhaps they dont want people to buy this and no one buys the 3 for £10 batch.
I daresay all this reductions is only possible in london where competition is so fierce.
added. On my way to pay i could not resist telling a black lady waiting to pay at one of the checkin counters that there is 50p chickens to be had, but she said she dont eat chicken. It brought home to me that not everyone is grateful for cheap chicken, or will be happy at finding this out. some of you might object and ask what conditions the chickens have to endure to bring such glut and allow bargains like this to be available. My feeling is whatever we do, what we gain, someone else is paying for it in terms of hardship. Our souls want it.

I wonder whether people are staying in to watch the human planet on bbc tonight. I did want to see it but i just felt like going out for a walk,(and forgot it was on haha, otherwise i might not have gone out) and thought what better way of doing that than by walking to the supermarket and see what bargains to be had. It is better than taking a walk aimlessly in the neighbourhood.
I am glad i did.

i recently re-instated my blog in PLUblog.com (it is a gay blog aggregate and ranks them, there is a link on the sidebar. have a look if u like and see all those cocks galore haha.)and i was thinking if any gay guys comes here from there thinking they will be seeing a gay blog with lots of sex, i am afraid they will be disappointed.

i do talk about sex, and one commentator did ask me to do more of it, but i find it gets repetitive. The actual talking of it is very similar, it is the experiencing of it that is different and wonderful. it is very much like those food blogs i read, u can see the pictures of the food, and read them trying to convey how nice it is, but u can never feel and taste the food. it is very frustrating in some ways.
and i find after some time of reading these blogs i get a bit bored with them.
But maybe sex blogs are different... certainly those blogs that tells sex stories can be interesting but only in fiction when the imagination can run riot.
in real life, a lot of sex is very routine. And the only person enjoying it is the writer who has done it.

Now and then, the sex can get interesting, in unusual context and that is worth talking about.

I said in my summary of my blog in that website that it is about me, and my gay and nudist life; but i am afraid even that is not typical.
i m not what a gay guy stereotype should be. i dont keep up with fashion, and now i am nudist , even less of that; and i dont have a fancy flat with lots of object d'arts. Gay guys are supposed to have taste, but not me. I dont like talking about films, nor about food in restaurants or cafes , nor watch opera, or even go see exhibitions. A rather dull blog i think.haha.
and i dont consume a lot of stuff and so cannot talk about them. I dont know the difference between ipad, ipod, blackberry and dont want to know.haha.

And i dont even talk much about my nudist life because there is none, not now when it is cold. Though there is not a lot of talking that can convey what it is like to be living a nudist life. You just have to live it.
I am afraid this blog is rather dull and i wont blame u if u decide to go elsewhere.

haha.

Now and then i may surprise with something risque, but even i dont know when that will be.

Added 11.2.11
i remembered that i can see the bbc human planet program in their website and i saw it just now.
Its only available for 1month.
seeing how these mountain people live and how hard their lives are, it makes me think we have no right to suffer depression. those who do should see how these people live and how hard their lives are and realise their own lives are very cushy and resolve never to be depressed again.

electricity bill nov10-jan11

london
this is that time of year when people get their winter bill.

£60.32 after adding vat and minus duel fuel discount.

i got the bill today. just the electricity bill as i did not use any gas at all.
for the period nov10-dec10-jan11.
420kwh over 95days was £63.22
5%vat =£2.65.
total £65.87
minus discounts for duel fuel, £5.55= £60.32

I pay £15 a monthly debit. but this has not been able to cover the amount and i built up a debit of £27.50 so they calculate the new direct debit to be £20.

The bill this time is made up as follows
186 kwh used over 42days
first 58kwh x 22.378= £12.98
next 128kwh x 10.638= £13.62 total £26.60
after 10.12.11
234kwh used over 53days
first 105kwh x22.145 = £23.25
next 129kwh x 10.368= £13.37total £36.62

grand total £63.22

4.42kwh per day.

It is very low, and that is how i like it.
it is very similar to last year's bill, for the same period, and that was supposed to be the coldest in 30yrs, and this year was supposed to be coldest in 100yrs. All a bit of a rubbish really haha. i now dont care what they call it, coldest in whatever number of years... rubbish!!! it does not affect my usage of electricity.

What i find puzzling is how they allocate the first kwh usage that is charged at the higher rate.
before 10.12.10 they take the first 58kwh
after 10.12.10 they take the first 105kwh. even though it is only a difference of 11days between the periods.42days vs 53days.
i have long ago realised they will screw the tariffs to their advantage, so no point complaining. The only way is to use as little as possible. Stop heating up the whole house!!! you will do yourself a big favour not to mention the planet as well. if i hear anyone talk of saving the planet and i find out they are heating their house like that i shall knock their heads together!!!
The temp so far is mild. normal temp should be max 7C and min 3C, but it was max 11.9C and min 10.8C yesterday. the wind was strong though about 40km/h. personally i think all these statistics of what is normal is not much practical use. haha. nothing beats the actual temp now. And whatever it is, it is just right for now and to be enjoyed. so enjoy it if it is mild like now, or -4C in the past.
Added 9.2.11
Read this in the dailymail today

it says british gas will now charge its top rate on the first 180kwh of electricity per quarter rather than the first 125kwh.
and it mentioned a reader being charged £22.549 for the initial units and £9.59 for rest. his tariff is different from mine, i wonder why?
it will make the monthly cost go up an extra £6.
Ah , so that explains my initial units being raised.
I have been studying the figures and it does not really make much sense. i wonder whether they take a fixed 128kwh from the total used, and charge that at the lower rate, and any balance is charged at the higher rate.
Ah well, nevermind, whatever, as they say...
just cut down on the usage is my answer to all this sheenanigans.

petrie museum visit part of lgbt month

london high13.5C low 10.2C strong winds
I was there yesterday.
I have never been. Just goes to show even for me who had lived here so long, there are parts of london i have never been.
This is a musuem inside the university college campus in bloomsbury.
That evening was a special one, where the musuem opens late for the lgbt month.
it seems it does that every year for this lgbt month.
i only read about it the day before at ianvisits.co.uk and glad i went.
The theme was how the greeks interact with the egyptians but it was a loose theme.
What is rather worthwhile to see is the stone relief showing the god min, depicted as a figure with an erect penis.
This is not something u would normally see and in fact, it was not mentioned in the leaflet given to me. There was no conducted tour, and we are expected to find the artefacts.
What is particularly wonderful is that everything is so near, u are only separated by a glass and u can go right up to it to see it, unlike so many places where it is kept far away and u have to peer at it out of reach somewhere high up. You can really see and appreciate the fine carvings in stone of these reliefs.
I nearly missed it and to find it unexpectedly added to the pleasure.

the museum is normally opened at office hours and not evenings. and it is free.
google it.
Their website said they support the pro democracy protestors in egypt calling for Mubarek to go.
I am rather cynical of these protesters... why do i think they are simply going to come into power and install a extreme islamic regime?? it will be just replacing one lot of thugs with another. Maybe i am just realistic about human nature. Give people power and it will corrupt them.
The website also says they want to stop people stealing from the archaelogy sites, and when i read that i could not but be amused for what are all these things i see in the musuem but stolen from the sites by petrie...?
Ah well, at least they are kept here for us to look at and for scholars to study, because it is a working musuem for research by the students hereabouts.
I met another guy there, a retired teacher who had come from outside london. he pointed me to some of the objects that i missed. That was rather good for me and just shows it helps if u go with another person. Or like me, find someone there.
The musuem staff provided drinks too, wine which i did not take, and soft drinks which i did.

The night was very windy, which made it colder than the temperature would suggest. It was about 10C which is not really cold.
This morning, i read in the standard that gale force winds had killed a man somewhere up north.
added 7.2.11 Nothing of the kind. he drowned because his car got caught in a flood. i thought a tree fell on him because of the gale. just goes to show u cannot trust the headlines.

Right now, i have my windows open and did not feel the cold. The scaffolding outside the windows kept the wind away.

A friend called to chat, he works as a night security guard and calls me now and then when he gets bored at work to chit chat.

he was saying he never gets invited for parties even though he gives parties. He is feeling lonely maybe because of the chinese new year. People expect to be with friends visiting each other and having lots of company and so if u find yourself alone, people feel there is something lacking.
he said a friend who lives in another country told him he is having a party and that if he were not living so far away he would invite him, and that got him feeling rather sad not to have someone here invite him.

I did not tell him that parties can be absolutely dire and boring too... but you know what people are like. They want things that they cannot get, and then when they get it they find they dont like it.
It is like all those people holidaying in egypt, all that money spent going there, and now all the mad rush to get out of that country now. hahahaha.

Fw: Happy Rabbit Year!

london

kong hee fatt choy.

I had an email with some pictures of red crackers bursting and thought i could put it here but it wont take.

so instead i shall post a picture of a rabbit.
