cooking

london
I found a packet of sausages in the fridge today. When simon came back from work, I asked him if it was his, or belongs to our friend from Italy who had just today left for his home.(he tells me he likes uk, because it is so hot in verona, italy, his home. I daresay it is no fun living in that kind of hot humid weather, but it is perfect for holidays. Something that a lot of britons must be wishing they are there rather than holidaying now in uk.
It was simon's , but when he was about to cook it he said it has gone off. He had taken it outof the freezer to thaw and forgotten all about it. Typical of him, and explains why so much food is thrown away by people who live in uk.
Anyway, i had taken out my mince pork to thaw, and so i was able to make a steamed dish in my rice cooker. A recipe i got from my mum, using garlic, ginger, and chinese preserved vegetables all cut up fine and mixed with the meat with cornflour. Place in a metal plate over a support on top of the rice in the rice cooker and steam.
But simon was hungry and cannot wait for it to be cooked with the rice in the rice cooker, so he stir fried thin slices of potato and ate it with two fried eggs. It is really easy to cook anything if u know how.
it looked like simon has got flu, though his is much worst than mine. He has headache, but as usual he does not listen to his body and go to bed and sleep it off. He said if he sleeps now he wont be able to sleep next day and he has night shift tomorrow. i thought he could sleep now, it being about 6pm when he got back, and it would be ideal, for he can sleep as long as he likes and still be able to sleep again in the afternoon the next day before his night shift. But he has said he wont sleep, so he wont. The mind will dictate ... if he says he wont, then he wont.
Still, if his soul wants it...
my flu is almost gone now.All I did is take vit c and go to sleep. I got it on monday, and it is now thursday and it is going. And all i had is a cough, that is all. but then, i dont have flu, and if i do, i get over it quick but as i said, i always say flu do not affect me, and so what i say , is so.

hard way to earn a living for my cold caller

london
Today I had a visit from a cold caller, she was from Npower, trying to get me to change my gas and electricity company from British gas to npower. They give £100 right away, plus £100 annually to anyone who changes to them, but only for those who have not fixed their tariffs.
Npower charge about 15p for the first 740(or about that) kwh, whilst BG charges me about 23p for the first 144kwh, and about 10p afterwards. (We were looking through my old bills, and i saw it was 16p in 2007. Such a large increase in tariff!!!)
With my usage, the bill comes to about the same cost. It is really difficult to decide which is the better company to join, as it depands so much on how much u use. And that would vary with summer or winter.
My bill is so small anyway, i wont save much by changing companies.Long ago, I decided not to bother changing companies but to reduce my usage. They cannot charge me for something i do not use. haha. I have been very successful, I saw from my old bills that i have use half the amount of electricity, and zero use my gas.
Maybe it might be advantages for others to change companies. Not everyone is like me, who can half their usage of electricity and stop using gas like i did.
I think i must be the only one who have their electricity and gas bill reduced drastically after the price rises. I can tell you it gives me so much pleasure to see my electricity bill halved from about £100 to £50 for a 3month bill, and to have zero on my gas bill.
From what i see, big users of power are better off with BG. However, npowers attraction for low spenders like me is negated by the small savings even if we switch. It seems to me BG's tariff is very nicely tuned for both small and large users. And cynics like me, must suspect that once they got u signed up, they will start raising the tariff. My strategy for cutting the amount I use is still the best one.

I feel sorry for the lady, It is still a hard way for anyone to earn a living, going door to door...I wish her well.
Added 2.8.09
I have often wondered why no newspaper advise column ever suggest to people to cut down on usage. don't switch on electric appliances, unplug everything, instead of switching companies that supplies ur gas or electricity.
Reading this article
http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/money/article-1203720/USwitchs-210m-website-worth-50m.html
makes me realise why. People make money if u switch companies esp if u use these price comparison websites. No one makes money if u just reduce ur usage.

good to be back in london

london
We left poole on a rainy morning. We went more than an hour early at the megabus stop, just to be sure of getting it.
I have a cough now, so it looked like i caught it there. Ah well, if it is swine flu, i supposed it is better to catch it now and get it over with rather than catch it in winter when it is colder and the body wont be so resistant. haha.
It was bright and sunny here in london. With sudden rain that stops just as abruptly as it starts.
I had a taste of the soya sauce beef that i asked simon to look after for me when i left for poole. My instructions to him were to put them in containers and freeze them. But instead he wanted dumplings, and so made them, and unfortunately put them in with the beef and froze them. Naturally the dumplings absorbed all the gravy.
Sigh!! Too many cooks here.
it is dangerous to ask another person to look after what u have cooked. The temptation to add their 2cents worth is irresistable.

cloudy day

poole
The guy coming back from studland on the same bus as us told us yesterday that today will not be a sunny day, and he was right.
Maybe my friend and i are unusual, but we did not mind. We had a lovely time with perfect weather yesterday, and it was enough that we had it. so it does not matter if today is cloudy and rainy. Perhaps we only had a short distance to travel from london. maybe if we were to travel far and expensively to come here a once a year holiday, which many do when they go to europe for their summer holidays, we would feel cheated. haha.
We enjoyed staying indoors in the flat today, going onto the sex websites to surf(free videos, and webcams) and enjoy having sex with each other.
Once I am back in London, I will be getting back to my usual way of life and I am looking forward to it. I like my way of life in London. I am contented.
I would wish everyone a contented life, but I also know that for many, that is not enough. People want more to their life than just being contented with what they have. The hallmark of human beings is to improve their lives, meaning they want more than their parents, and it seems to be the common desire no matter what culture u come from. All over the world, families have always stressed that aspect to their children. That they must always improve themselves and do better than their parents.
why?
It seems we must all reach that stage, amass a lot of wealth before we see it is worthless.
But nevermind all that now, I am just musing a bit.
I cannot use my life as a template for others. My whole viewpoint is counter to the general consensus. If everyone follows me, than it wont be out of step with society, right? And my way of living would be impossible.
It is a paradox, the moment my way of life becomes the norm, it is unsustainable.
Somewhere in here there is the secret of living. You want to be living slightly out of sync, but not too much. Some areas only u can be out of synch, others u conform. Knowing which areas to be out of synch , that is where u find wisdom.

studland bay

Such a lovely time we had in shell bay, studland.

We caught the bus at about 1.45pm, having walked the short distance to westbourne. It costs £5.80 return including the ferry across poole harbour.

It was an open top double decker, so we were able to get good glimpses of the gardens of those expensive houses on the way.

We got off two stops past the ferry on the other side, and there was a good path across the bog to the beach.

It was a quite short walk, unlike going by way of the headland from the ferry which we normally do when john took us there in his car.

I had rather a lot of fun with a guy, who very bravely i thought came right up to me and played with me. Normally people are more shy. But as i have said, the forward guy gets his man. haha. He wanted to cum even though it was quite early in the afternoon, so I wanked him off.

Then our playing attracted 3 other guys and I gave them the nod and one of them came to play but it was an exposed area so we went back to where another guy was lying, and so 4 of us played. One guy went off and i had fun wiht the other two. One was from birmingham, the other from i forgot where but not a local guy.

He was staying with a friend in winton, a suburb nearby. He said his friend is straight, though he is not adverse to playing with karthoey(lady boys) in thailand. This friend usually lives in pattaya in thailand for most of the year. So this chappie I was with goes to thailand about 2 times a year to stay with this friend in pattaya. It's a nice life.

He said he enjoys thai boys, and likes dark cocks. haha so he likes mine. He is the one who mentioned that cocks go bigger as we go older, when i mentioned his large cock. It hangs big, unlike some others that are small when flaccid but grows big when erect. I think it gets bigger the more times u get a hard on. So those who are sexually active gets bigger cocks and the cycle gets started as their having a bigger cock attracts men.

Both of them have large cocks(by that I mean girth as well as length) which i like and which attracted me to them in the first place.(I know!! I am a size queen... though not an exclusive one i hope, because i will play with others who are less well endowed) I daresay they do get a lot of guys coming on to them, because of their large cocks. The good thing about a naturist place is that u can see the cocks and can choose guys with big cocks. Guys with big cocks are very blessed indeed. Nowadays with viagra and cialis, they can all get hard too. Because of course, a hard cock is worth any number of big cocks that cannot get hard. haha.

Later, on the way back,( the bus was really crowded, it being about 6pm, the end of the day when everyone wants to get back. We caught up with it on the other side of the harbour and only 11 of us can get on board, though i think they made an exception and allowed the 12th, who was a woman,to come on board too). we met a guy who recognised me and gave me a nod and a smile on the bus queue. He must have seen me in the naturist part earlier. I didnot notice him but then being oriental, does make me noticeable. We got chatting at the back of the bus. He is from Reading, and he says he is staying in a guest house in Bournemouth for £12 a night, does not include breakfast. Its quite a good bargain, he said he gets his own room, unlike the youth hostel in swanage which charges £25 per person and that is for a dormitory bed sharing the room with others.
I asked him if he had a good time today. He said not today, but yesterday. I asked why, he said the rangers were about. I did not know that. So we were rather taking a risk when we were playing. He said u can recognise them by their yellow or blue jackets.
So anyone who is naked is not likely to be a ranger, which is quite a useful tip to know. haha.
Later, I met a guy who recognised me as being on a naked party in isle of wight about 3yrs ago. He said he fancied me then, that is why he remembered me. I am afraid i did not recognise him but then i am bad with faces. We had some fun in the tall grass. he giving me a continous blow job.
A air display was going on by the red devils, who were flying their red planes in tight formation, looping the loop and shooting coloured cloud trails. Rather nice to watch and marvel at their skill to keep so close to each other in formation without fear of colliding and killing each other.
All this while, my friend was sunbathing where i left him. Once, i lost my way getting back to him, i forgot where he was.
I like studland, the people were very friendly, or maybe it was just me. haha.
If the weather is nice again like today, which was ideal, not too sunny yet warm, with a light breeze... we will go back again tomorrow.
On the way back, we bought some chicken wings from tesco, and i grilled them, and we just now ate them and it was delicious. It is so simple to grill chicken and yet so delicious.I love the tips, they are so crunchy u can eat them whole.
I made a salad dressing of olive oil, mustard and balsamic vinegar, from john's store cupboard, and toss the iceberg lettuce and tomatoes in it. If people only know how easy it is to make dressing, they would not waste money buying the bottled dressing.
I hope the national trust will not destroy the special ambiance of these naturist beaches in studland bay. It is just so special to have sex in the open like this with all these likeminded guys. it was all very discreet however, so nothing to frighten the horses... hidden low amongst the grass. Only if someone is right on top of us can they see, and they dont have to see but just move away.
I found out from one of the guys that he goes to london often and he told me of this sex place i have not heard about. it is quite pricey, £12, but he said it was really full of sex. It is in north london, which is not so convenient for me to go to.

just musing on the nature of holidays and why we go on it

Poole

What did we do today? Nothing much haha. It was too cloudy and windy to go to studland bay, and so we browsed the charity shops in ashley road. I bought a jelly tupperware mould for 50p. I thought it will be useful as jelly making is so easy, and it is a tasty dessert without much effort to make.

As you can see in the picture, it is beautifully constructed. tupperware is not seen much nowadays but they are very well constructed and durable and seem to be sold cheap yet they are a real pleasure to use.
I was very restrained in that i did not buy pyrex bowls even though they were 10p each.
there was no toilet in ashley road and i really wanted to pee. I thought i shall have to suffer till we get back to john's flat. Then i saw some plants growing on big tubs provided by the council, and next to it telephone booths with opague glass sides, so i decided to pour out the water in my water bottle and went into the telephone booths and peed into the bottle. I emptied the pee into the plant pot and not for the first time thanking whatever powers that be that i am a male, and can do this. hahahaha.
It was very windy so that I was cold wearing only a sleeveless t-shirt and shorts. Even though the sun was shining, the wind chill was very pronounced.
I think both of us just want to take it easy on this holiday. My friend because he has been working and so this break is just a excuse for him to rest. he is thus not keen on going or doing anything.
Myself? I just consider it a change from london, environment wise, though my behaviour and pattern will still be similar to how i live in london... that is doing nothing much.haha. The only change in poole would be going to studland, and today's weather is a big determinant of that and today it was not that warm.
I was thinking just as well we are staying for free in John's flat. The cost of a holiday is always taken up by the cost of accommodation. Everytime i travel, i noticed the major cost is paying for the hotel, or guest houses or hostel. Even the cheapest hostel costs money.Even if it is only £10 a day, it still adds up.
Why anyone wants to go on holiday at all, I wonder, when they could have stayed at home and done all the things that they do when on holiday? the only difference is the surroundings, and is that so important to compensate? I go on holiday to interact with the locals, (by that i mean have sex with them) so there is a good reason why i go on holiday and spend the money, but other people who dont do sex, what exactly do they delude themselves they are doing? haha. I know it is just cynical old me talking, so dont mind me.
Now, I dont go overseas on holiday anymore... at least for this year... I dont want to interact with the locals abroad, as i can have sex with londoners without having to leave london so why travel and suffer the hardship and expense of staying in a foreign place? It just seems silly to go all over the world to have sex with people there when it is just as easy and fun to have sex with londoners.
Next year I might think differently, if the £ strengthens, or the euro weakens, then i might consider going to europe and to the naturist places again.
I know, I know , you will be saying why live then, it seems u have a dull life, not doing anything. Hmm, not so. I am argueing that it is not necessary to go half way round the world and spend so much on airfares and hotels, just to shag a few local guys.
But (I hear you say)u can sight see, eat the local foods, enjoy the local culture, etc, surely sex is not the only reason for travel.. I can only say I am sure other people will agree with u, but not for me, my days of sightseeing and eating local foods and enjoying the local culture is finished. I have seen them and once u see one, u have seen them all.
Philistine, i m sure everyone is saying. haha. I agree with you. But i cannot help it if all those touristy things dont appeal to me anymore.
So what is there about life that makes u want to be alive rather than just kill yourself and be done? I hear u say.
What is wrong with just being alive and enjoying the breath of fresh air, that is carried by that lustful wind that brings down the wind chill factor? And have a bit of sex now and then to liven things up... ?
What is wrong with just enjoying that ordinary bowl of food made so much more delicious because i am so hungry...?
Nothing that is why. Nothing to stop u from enjoying being alive. haha. You dont have to do anything else. It is enough.
Being in the seaside, and having not much to do, brings me into this philosophical mood. I can enjoy the most ordinary things, even a day of doing nothing whilst being in a seaside and confronted with most people's expectation of having to be busy doing things.(Just because we are on holiday, that is why), and finding the reality is that there is nothing to do, and it is fine. It does not matter. I enjoy my life anyway.

in poole

poole
took the megabus at 4pm and am in poole now. We thought we shall be grocery shopping, but i got onto a webcam site, and we got so engrossed in it we forgot the time.
It is rare to get two people on camera, so we attracted attention. itis much more interesting when there are two people putting on a show, which was what we did.
We would have liked a couple to chat with and have a private show but there were none that want to show. So we got private chatting to a nice looking guy in rhode island usa. He got a nice body and ass, too bad he was so far away.
That is the frustrating thing about webcam, that is why i dont go on it much unless i m in poole, with friends. When i m at home in london, it is too boring but when i m on holiday in poole, i do it.
In the end, it was rather fun, i guess we like showing off haha and having someone be an audience. Those of you reading this who have not tried it, may want to, and get the thrill of having an audience. They are all strangers so it does not matter. And u can direct the webcam camera so it does not show ur face if u wish to be anonymous, but I did not bother to hide my face. No point there. haha. And it is more fun for the others to see what u look like.
Now and then, it can be fun but only if u are two rather than alone.
i now realise how it works. People go into private chat and so only that person can see and so can let things rip and be as outrageous as they can.
though i think if there is no one u fancy to do a private chat with, it can be just as much fun doing it for all to see. It can be very erotic.

1st class stamps

london
I found out how much it costs today. My friend in thailand, Paul M asked me in an email to buy him 20 of these first class stamps to send to him.
They cost 39p each. And the postage to Thailand airmail is 62p.
Total £8.42.
I wonder what he wants them for.
I am only very glad that i never need to post anything nowadays.
I asked him whether he saw the eclipse that is going through china, india yesterday. He did not see it. It was only 60% where he lives, (in north thailand) and it was cloudy that day. He is a great follower of eclipses. He said,'I have seen six, missed one by not getting in the track, and one from clouds, in 8 attempts'.
Added. I got an email from him with an attachment detailing a paper he wrote about his naked eye observations of a partial eclipse where he lives.

I saw someone had dumped a set of skis and 4 hand skiing supports(what do u call it? the things u use to pull urself along and to guide u when u ski?). It was in a roadside waste bin in Pimlico. What strange things people throw away. I would love to know what the story is behind it. haha.
Maybe they took it to the charity shop , who did not want it, so they just put it in the roadside bin. It looked very used, with the ski surfaces worn and scratched. I am sure they are serviceable, the scratched surfaces can easily be smoothed with wax polish; but not many londoners will have much use for skis. And those who go on skiiing holidays are rich enough to get their own skis or hire them on the spot. I was thinking they will be useful if london gets snow regularly like what we had early this year.
These things are similar to snorkelling gear which I saw once on sale in a charity shop. Flippers, mask, and breathing tube for £2. I thought of buying it, then realise i go so rarely to these kind of holidays and they are bulky to pack.

It's one of the things i find paradoxical about life. Here I find things i dont want and not useful to londoners lying around ( so many luggage left at the recycling bins and no one wants them) and yet in countries where there is snow every winter, these skis will be v useful for someone.

We get so many free plastic bags in this country, and throw them away without thinking. and yet, when i was visiting India, people collect and use these plastic bags till they fall to bits. Some parts of the world we are so wasteful, other parts they use and reuse till it falls apart.

Thelondonpaper free newspaper is giving free organic espresso coffee to anyone who hands their paper to the crush chain of juice shops. In the past they gave a miserly amount, but this time, it was a decent amount and very nice. Slightly acidic taste which i was able to drink without suger. This free offer will run all of this week.

peas

amount of peas from a 500mg pack. The quantity of shells is more than the peas. And those peas still need to be cooked. Frozen peas seem so much more economical by comparison. 500mg yield 150mg of peas.

london

I bought these the previous night, as they were reduced from £1.49 for 500mg to 20p. I thought i could eat them shell and all, but I tried them just now in an omelette and it was very stringy.

So I have to shell them now.

Such a lot of waste really, but i guess in nature, it is not a waste as it will all go to compost. I shall shell the peas and freeze them. Though I dont think i shall buy them anymore, as it is alot of work to get peas, when frozen peas are so convenient. I dont know why people would want to buy them, or why sainsburys wants to sell them, especially as their normal price is not cheap.

Maybe they should harvest it early so that they are like mangetout, and so can be eaten whole.

Paul L made the observation that it is not economical to grow your own veg, and I think he is right. So those of us, like me, who thinks that growing our own veg will reduce our food bill, will have to think again.

Also, there is a reason why we have people mass producing foods, so the rest of us can get on with our lives, with more time to do things we like. In olden days, people spent so much time growing and finding food, that there is no time for leisure. Now we have that luxury, the time. Granted a lot of us substitute the time spent growing food by working but i think working in an office, which is nice and sheltered is much nicer than working out in the fields under all kinds of weather, and doing really hard physical work.

It makes me think there is a good reason why people leave the farms and go and work in factories. Factory work may be repetitive, but it is not v strenous, and so even women (and children, though the west looks askance at child labour) can do factory work. And there is companionship and friendship and community in factorys. You might think living in domitories is hell, but really for single people, it is no different from living in hostels, and I have lived in hostels, and i know it is quite a lot of fun. For many of those young women, it might be a liberation from the tyranny of their families.

In many ways, factory work is like office work, it is dull repetitive work, which by itself is no bad thing. People like it because once they know how to do it, it can be done without much effort. Society condones office workers and look down on factory workers. I wonder why, when they are essentially doing the same thing. Maybe working with the hands is not so highly regarded as working with the brain. It is important to bear in mind that society brainwashes people by assigning a high value on work that it wants people to do.

Office work is really not very stimulating work, but society wants office workers or the whole system will shut down, so it brainwashes all of us that it is a good thing.

Everyday, i see people commuting long distances to work, and the streets are full of these workers at lunch time, and lots of people make money from this herd. You remember seeing wildebeast roaming the plains being a moving food feast for all those animals living in its path? it is like that with the office herd. haha. With businesses feeding off their spending power.

giraffes

london
I saw the last of the series on tv, 'inside nature's giant'. It is a fascinating program, cutting open elephant, alligator, sperm whale, to see what makes them tick.
They were dissecting a giraffe in this last one, and showing how the heart muscle is very thick to maintain the highest blood pressure in a species and how the valves in its jugular vein prevent blood from piling back into the brain when the creature lowers its head to drink.
the skin round its legs are taut, to prevent blood from pooling round the legs from the high blood pressure.
such a strange creature... one of the scientists said it has reached an evolutionary dead end, the long neck and muscular neck makes the creature dominant and attracts the females, and yet a huge heavy head makes for a lot of problems for the creature. It seldom lie down to sleep, nor does it require a lot of sleep which is just as well, because it finds it difficult to get up again. And its patches of hide contain lots of capillaries that dissipate the body heat and so it never gets overheated even in the noonday sun so it never need to go under the shade.
When i heard that scientist say this creature will die out as it cannot evolve anymore, it occurred to me that it may be the opposite. This creature has evolved to perfection, and it now has no enemies. It does not need much sleep and do not lie down, and so never present its most vulnerable time to predators. Its long legs make mince meat of any predators and along with its long neck makes the jugular artery and vein out of reach of any predator. And it can outrun any of the predators in that area.
The only time when it is vulnerable is when it is just born, it seems half of new born calves get killed by predators. Those that survive have no enemies.
They have reached the top of their evolutionary herbivourous tree.
Very much like the crocodile/alligator which has remained like so since the dinosaurs, as they are just perfect as they are.

observing people

london
I mentioned lookng at the world, and making observations, about nature, or keeping an eye out for useful things in recycling bins, or in charity shops, or looking out for reduced bargains in supermarket and so that is how i make my life rather more interesting that just existing.
People are of course the single most varied and surprising to observe.
Take for eg, today at the library.
An old woman was standing by the table reading the newspapers.
I saw the library has provided wheeled computer chairs, and took one to sit on. These chairs can be raised to the right height for the table. Previously all the chairs were low, and yesterday, one fat woman put some books on the chair and sat on them, and the librarian asks her not to and even brought some cushions from the kids section for her to sit on. She got angry and refused to change the books for the cushions and there were angry words. One person tried to put in a word, but she told him to mind his own business. I moved away as i cannot stand all that noise. When i cameback to return the newspaper i took away to read, I saw her standing up reading the newspaper.
So I think that is why today i see they have provided 3 computer chairs, but the woman , (not the same one as yesterday), was not using them but standing up.
you may ask why didn't she sit on the chairs? Did she not see them?
The librarian came , saying excuse me to her and put the chair under the table, as if to let her know there are chairs now that is the right height. But she ignored it.
At first, i thought the librarian was a bit fussy to disturb her to tidy the chair under the table, but i now think he was just trying to let her know of it, instead of asking her to sit on these chairs.
The other time, when he asked the other woman to sit on the cushions, instead of the books to raise her to the level of the table, she made such a fuss that I think he got scared now of asking any old woman..
Why this woman today did not sit on the chairs, but prefer to stand whilst reading the papers?
I have no idea, but it makes me realise it is not always wise to tell her. I will just say her soul wants it, and leave her to it.
This is why i dont inform people of better ways of doing things. I realise they dont want to know. If their souls really want to make their lives simple, it would have made them look around for chairs to sit on. The fact she did not, suggest her soul wants to make her life difficult. Now u know why i dont volunteer to help unless i am asked.
(Maybe she got some woman complaint that makes it uncomfortable for her to sit. who knows, women have such strange plumbing, and their reproductive organs do act up something awful, from the complaints they have about it, that it is a mystery to us men. Thank goodness i m gay, and so have not very much to do with them. haha.My soul obviously wants to make mylife easy.
(I am reminded of simon saying that his mother would complain at him always watching the golf on tv. And when he says he will switch it off if she likes, she would say nevermind. I mentioned this to the woman driver during the car run to bring food to the people on sunday, during my charity work, and she laughed and said women will do that.)

In the past, i have offered to help strangers with directions, or told them of things that i thought they might be wanting to know, but have been abruptly refused. Because it was not what they wanted to know. I was too presumptous in guessing what they want. So i now learn to keep my mouth shut.

I know it means some people will not get any help from me when they need it , but tough luck on them, because of so many others who refuse my help when i offer it,(and quite impatiently refused it too). I have now stopped offering to help anyone unasked. If they dont ask I wont volunteer. I have come to realise that unsolicited advice or help is not welcomed.

Now i simply say their soul wants it. It makes for a very equable life, without feeling anger at things i cannot control, nor anger when others get injured, or got killed. People who think they are kind hearted get so upset when bad things happen to other people. They feel for the other person. But i have come to realise that there is no need to think u r a cruel , unfeeling person when u dont feel upset at hearing bad things happening to others. There is no need to feel angry with life, or with nature, when people get cancer, or hurt themselves, or whose baby wandered off and of all the places to go, got inside a locked pool and drown. Their souls want to leave that body and so will find a way, no matter how much the odds are against it happening.

london

I found this coffee whatsit in the recycling bins a few days ago. It looks very nice doesn't it? I thought my guests might like to have one of these to use. I forgot what it is called.

Yesterday I went to Paul L's place in north london for a barbeque. It was nice weather for it, and we were able to stay outside in his garden. Lots of meat to eat, all marinated before hand so delicious. And 3 different desserts, the pecan pie, a sponge cake and cherry crumble with big cherries.

I was late a little bit, as i did not know the whole victoria line was down. Usually only the brixton to victoria part is down with a replacement bus service. But there are more ways to get to his place and his place is on the piccadilly line, so it was not too difficult to reach.

One observation by paul L interested me . He said the back of his house looks north, and so do not get the sun directly, but as compensation he said, the flowers all look towards the house, so he gets their full beauty when he looks out at the garden. He discovered this when he was renting a flat in south ealing. That flat was south facing, and they noticed the flowers all have their backside to him. Of course, it shows his garden is long, extending beyond the shadow cast by his house.
I find it livens life up a bit, to make our own observations like that. We can all make them, we dont need scientists or other so called experts to tell us. we just have to keep our eyes and minds open. haha.
(he also made the observation that slugs like certain plants, so he dont plant those and so that way he just do not have any problems with slugs in his garden. Also he said putting coffee grounds round the plant discourages the slugs. that is new to me. I know about beer traps but not about coffee grounds. the rain washes the coffee away, so u need to replenish them. Also he said slugs dont like egg shells. He also said he grows the plants in pots, and I noticed he raised them high off the ground either by putting the pots on top of high upturned pots, or on ledges balanced high on the rungs of two ladders. The effect is also very pleasing as it gives the garden different levels
When u find out things that the books do not tell you, or things that are not known generally, It's very gratifying to make discoveries like those by yourself... like me observing that the sun do rise early and late even in malaysia, which is so near the equator that i have always thought it is equal day and night. But unless the place is on the equator u do have slight variations in sunrise times (and presumably sunset times) in december and in june.

life is fun

london

I was browsing in a rather upmarket charity shop in pimlico, not to buy but to see what they have got. I saw a bottle in their waste paper basket, near the cashier, and was eyeing it because it looked like what i would like.

'Is that to be thrown away?' I asked the cashier. she said 'yes'. Can i have it? She nodded.

I know charity shops have said in mary portas tv program that they get junk, but hang on a minute, if that is what they call junk, i wish they would ask me first if i want it. haha.

Ok, this is not hugely significant, but glass containers like these are useful. we dont normally like to buy these and in the past we get them when we buy stuff they come in and used up. i dont buy those things, as i think it silly to buy expensive stuff just for their containers. but this is where charity shops can do a big service. They get these donated to them, and so why dont they just slap a 10p or 20p price tag on it, and sell it quickly.

these glass containers will always find people wanting them for use in the kitchen.

and it will make people buy more things. it works because when people buy something low priced , they tend to pick up other more expensive things in the shop too.

Unfortunately the charity shops are now infected with corporate and business management gurus and they are all upping their game, all wanting the designer bag, and shoes. haha.

And looking with disdain at glass containers for the kitchen. That is so low class and cheap. They dont realise that these may be the ones that sell steadily.
Still, I must not complain, as i got this free didn't I? haha.

brixton market

london

ginger, 4cloves of garlic, red onions, green chillis from brixton market.

Brixton market is really quite close to my flat. Strange why I always thought it is quite far away. It's good to realise it, because then i could go there to get my vegetables. There are not as much fruits being sold unlike what paul L tells me when he went to wood green market. I wonder why, maybe because the locals dont buy them. There are no big bags of ripe tomatoes for £1 like in brewer street, one summer past which i bought to make passata. Or bags of bananas, for £1 like in the milton keynes streetmarket when i used to work there. They were all near to their overripe stage, but perfect for making banana cakes (in those days when i make cakes a lot).

Lots of meat being sold, all unrefrigerated, which is quite offputting if u dont realise they are all thawing from frozen. Apart from the usual chicken, beef, pork, there are cows' hoofs, tails, chicken feet by the bag, (£1.50), tripe. And lots of fish, tilapia being the only name i recognise. haha. Not cheap, 3 or 4 big fishes for £20. All from frozen and thawed when being sold. Does it mean that at the end of the day, they will have to sell it off cheap? as it is not possible to refreeze them?

What i like about the market is that it is the only one that sells 4cloves of garlic for 50p, and ginger, chilli, tomatoes(did not buy those) onions for 50p. Other markets sell more for £1 but to me since i dont use them up so quickly, i prefer smaller portions for half the cost. That way they dont go old and stale.

such a lot of free recycled stuff.

london
This morning I was going to the gym and saw a huge electric radiator, brand name glen, left at the recycling bins. it is the type where there is oil or liquid inside which gets heated and in turn heats up the air. I was looking at it wondering whether to take it when the council truck came by and so i left it.
Then this evening when i was on the way to forage in the supermarket, i saw in another recycling area, a bagless vacuum cleaner and a kettle. I thought of getting the kettle on my way back but forgot, and just as well, i have a lot of kettles.
Anyway, the foraging yielded some bargains. I bought 2 500mg packs of mince pork, 57p each, reduced from £1.80, and 3 packs of 500mg mince beef, 68p each from £2.20.
Its quite reasonable, but not as much of a bargain as in the past, when it was 40p. 'Still, as simon said, the prices have generally gone up so the reduction % is about the same.
Simon says when he used to work for a supermarket chain, they make so much profit out of bacon, the manager goes apeshit if it runs out. The mark up in bacon is enormous, and the profit is a lot because so many people buy it. Simon said the mark up in the expensive cuts of meat is high too but not much of that is sold.
I wonder if people know that there is so much markup in bacon, will they continue to buy it? I dont buy bacon at its normal price anymore. Even if reduced, I try not to eat too much of it, so that even though once, danish back bacon was reduced from £2.20 to 30p,(which just goes to show how big the markup) i only bought 3. I dont really want to eat too much of it. Usually simon finishes it.
'Recently there was a tv program about labelling... They tested minced beef labelled as less than 10% fat, and found the fat was double that. i never believed the labelling anyway and as a matter of habit, I just dont pay the full price.
As for chicken breast, it is not only very expensive per kg, but they add water to it,(easy to spot, because the meat looks so shiny and wet) and to make the water stick they use animal protein, usually beef or pork protein, and the program found out that it was used in halal meats. So u have muslims being fooled. And everyone doubly fooled, with the added water making it extra heavy. Obviously, I never buy chicken breasts. haha
And organic salads were washed in non organic water, which makes it non organic, it seems. I supposed they have to be fussy about even the water that is used to wash the salad. Why cannot use tap water? but personally all this organic hype is totally meaningless to me. If followed strictly it makes it not only ridiculous like the water example but really expensive to produce and the benefit is not worth the extra. Anything less and corners are cut, and u are not getting the strictly organic foods which u think u r paying for. Best not to bother.

browsing charity shop

london
I was browsing inside the oxfam shop in pimlico, and was amusing myself looking at some of the weird stuff they have for sale there.
There is a telescope where u look through to find everything u see is all broken up into fragments, because the eyeglass is facetted. It is like a kaleidoscope.
Then there is a really well constructed knapsack with self insulated lining for a lunch box. Inside there was a plastic microwaveable lunch box with a small lid on the lid which can be opened to serve as an air vent when food is microwaved. The small knapsack is very well made.with compartments for various things. it was on sale for £4. Too much. if it were £1 i might be tempted to buy it though i cannot think what i would use it for. so just as well it is too much.haha.
There was a strange clock with metal rods all over the place and ramps carrying ball bearings to tell the time. it is battery operated (4 batteries!!) which is a huge minus point with me...
I have not been inside for some time, as what with getting my things for free in recycling bins, i have stopped going into charity shops except to see what i have saved by not shopping there.
My antinorton is expiring, and i have downloaded the free AVG. Hope it will be all right, but i am always nervous when i start a new antivirus download.

i found a george foreman grill last night

london
I was walking past the recycling bins last night, when i was coming back from a late night forage in the supermarkets, and saw a george foreman grill on top of the bins. I did not realise it was a george foreman grill, till i saw the trade mark whilst walking back with it.
I have heard of this name before, and heard how useful it was. has anyone got one and is it really useful?

I googled the make i found, and i think it is this

£14.69

Seems it is good for grilling sausages and hamburgers. The compact shape and grilling on both sides at once may make it more economical than an open grill, especially for small amounts of food

Added 1.30pm. I grilled some sausages with it, and it is very good. Used about half the amount of electricity using a frying pan, and also the real plus is that u can just leave it to cook without having to stand over it turning it over like if u fry it, not to mention it is not swimming in its own fat, so none of that spitting oil into the air and settling on the surfaces of the kitchen. the thermostat switches it on and off when it reaches the right temperature. I can only cook 4 sausages at a time, but that is not a bad thing if i m only cooking for one. It shows how good it did the job, i cooked 8 sausages and ate almost all .haha.It makes the skin so crunchy.

Amazing what u can find in the recycling bins in my area. It is the first time i have seen a george foreman grill, though i read in the website that it has been going on since 1995.

lazy summer days

the old fashioned wind up clock.
one of the speakers and hifi that i found long ago in the recycling bins. I am listening to the radio now. The hifi dont have input leads for simon to plug his laptop into.

london

These are lazy summer days i am having in london.

Not a care in the world, and plenty of peace of mind. Lots of events and deaths and happenings all over the world of course, as the newspapers are so keen to tell us, and the news broadcasts. But they need not impinge on my life. After all, I dont know those people so their troubles dont affect me at all.
I dont know why people get affected by the death of people like michael jackson. After all, they dont know him from adam, only know him from listening to his music, and since his heyday has long since gone, they won't miss much of his output by his death.
My feeling is it does not matter what their personal lives are like. They have left their legacy to us, their music, and we celebrate them for that.
I think that is true immortality, that their music can still affect us many years from now. it remains to be seen if michael jackson's music affects us as much as beethoven, mozart etc etc.

Life in our immediate surroundings can be as complicated or simple as u make it. I make it simple and so enjoy these lazy summer days. If your life is full of events, you make it so. A lot of people get restless and worried if they dont have things to do. They want to be busy and as i have always said, be careful what u wish for, u will get it, so they make things happen. Then when it gets too busy, which is inevitable really, they find they cannot stop it, or unable to get out of it.

Ah well, I leave them to live their lives.

Right now, i enjoy the summer lazy days of my life. Drifting from doing nothing, to doing little things that i enjoy and that dont take a lot of planning. I am glad i have no travel plans, till two weeks from now. That is quite a long time away so i need not think about it for now.

I saw another big screen tv left in the recycling bins this morning. No one took it as it is so heavy, and they must have realised as i did that it is useless without the remote control. I have more than enough tv screens now. I am looking out for an amplifier, but i wonder whether anyone have any to throw away. They are so old fashioned. But simon found out that he needs an amplifier to put his music on his laptop to external speakers. Those old fashioned speakers which people were throwing out are actually very good for music. The laptop speakers sounds too tinny.

I find i m coming full circle and going back to old fashioned things. They don't use up electricity to operate. The new fangled electronic stuff nowadays eat a lot of power. I found out my tv screen, even when switched off but plugged in, uses up a lot of electricity. i now unplug it whenever i dont use it. They tell us to switch off instead of leaving it on standby, but no one tells u that even when not on standby, these electrical appliances still uses up some power. I have found out it is not the tv screen but the video recorder which is linked to it. When plugged in, the recorder is on standby.
I dont use my video to tape movies much now, as it uses up electricity both to tape and to rewind and see later; also i have to leave the video recorder on standby waiting for the program to come on and that eats up electricity. Now, I watch the program as it is broadcast if i m so keen on seeing it. A lot of times i watch and then switch off as it is too boring to continue.
I am taking out an old winding clock to use again, as it does not need electricity. Though it is not working well. Tends to stop. I have forgotten how to fix it. (added. i forgot to wind it.haha)

I dont think i shall use ebooks because they need power to operate. Whilst books need no electricity to use.

simon's new car

london, its not really his car, but a pic of a similar model taken from the website which simon sent me, when i asked what car he bought.

Friday, 10 July 2009

simon bought a new car

london
Yesterday, simon told me he bought a new car. He said he should have asked for waterproofing of the interior instead of metallic paint.
he got the car frm the govt subsidy scheme, scrapping his old one which he says is using too much oil and is needing lots spent on it.
I found out that he actually had to pay £6000 even after the subsidy. to me it is still £6000 but to him it is a saving of £3000 from the original price of £9000.He paid cash deposit of £3000 and the rest i guess he must have set up some kind of credit payment.
Hmm, I wonder whether every car buyer thinks like simon. I dont think it is a bargain. haha. but then i would not even buy a car in the first place. But if it makes simon happy, i guess that is money well spent. right? haha.

Frankly it seems to me the dealer would have reduced it by this amount anyway, due to the credit crunch, without the taxpayer having to pay for it. and to the person who can bargain hard, maybe the reductions would be even more, so that they may end up buying it for less. As it is the govt subsidy has put a floor on the discount. the taxpayer is the loser, as it will mean higher income taxes when the next govt comes in. It is great for those people whose old car is falling to bits, and are not good bargainhunters; though it will just propagate the car culture. Ah well, this govt may just be interested in jacking up the economy till the next election, so as to get re elected, and then afterwards the slaughter with swinging taxes begins. haha. I suppose it does not matter as taxpayers as a group is so big, the pain will be spread amongst many. Pity the poor individuals targetted by the taxman and have to pay up. There will be more of them as the govt gets more desperate for income.
I forgot to ask him what make of car he bought, and strangely he did not tell me, (Added. it is a ford Ka)not that I would know one make from another. I asked if he bought an electric car, but he said it was not available. So bang goes the aim of converting everyone from buying petrol cars to electric ones. Not that it makes it greener unless the electricity is produced by nuclear energy instead.(He said he wanted a ;smart' electric car, but it is not sold by dealers. i like 'smart' cars.). Though from what i see of electric cars, Simon wont like them, and maybe he suspects it too, because they dont have much power. This applies to the cheaper ones. How do i know this? I got a lift in one from my accountant who bought to run round london, as there is no congestion charge nor parking charges to pay.(Though westminster is going to remove the free parking perk, if it has not done so allready).
This article says bigger cars are being penalised by the govt subsidy scheme, and foreign cars are benefiting. (though i thought britain has no homegrown car maker anymore. haha.) Cars spawn a huge amount of backup industry, servicing them, etc. that would provide jobs to local people.

my salad leaves

the plant next to the basil is a honeysuckle cutting that i am putting in water in the hope (vainly i think) of it growing roots so i can propagate it. i love the smell of honeysuckle and would love to grow one in a pot in the flat.

london

I got some free mixed salad leaves seeds from the hand-out at somerfields, and planted them. They have now grown a lot since, but I have come to realise that i dont like eating them raw. The rocket leaves are rather bitter. I find i like eating iceburg lettuce leaves. Their very blandness and no taste lends them well to taking up whatever dressing u throw at them, and their crisp texture makes for very nice mouth feel while eating them. But i bet iceberg lettuce are very difficult to grow yourself or in sufficient quantities in a tiny flat to make it worthwhile.

This blog about growing ur own veg on ur balcony which i discovered today, shows how veg can be grown even by a flat dweller living in london. http://londonvegetablegarden.blogspot.com/

he talked about growing tomatoes, which will be v useful for me, if ever i try again. My last efforts were unsuccessful. The thing is it is so much cheaper just to buy them from lidls or one corner stall where they are selling 6 for 50p. The paradoxical thing about it is that when u want them in winter they are expensive, but come summer, when ur tomatoes plants are giving off abundant fruits, there is a glut of them, and they are selling cheap in the market. If there is a way of preserving them fresh for eating in winter, when they are scarce...that would be a breakthrough in horticulture and whoever discovers that will be feted.

I found out that when i go on holiday even for a few days, there is no one to water the plants, and so they suffer. My basil seedlings were all lost because of that, leaving only one stalk. haha. Whoever invents a easy system of self watering, will make his fortune.

How do others cope with keeping their plants watered while they are away on holiday?

I simply over water them. And since I grow them in a container (my wash basin which i intend to use as a wash basin come winter that is why i dont want to punch holes in them) without holes, the water stays.

Another way is to put the pot in a container of water, but they tend to soak up the water but i figured if there is a lot maybe they wont do it too quickly and so last the holiday till i come back. haha.

Not sure if that is good for the plants or not. haha

I dont understand the idea of putting holes in the bottom of the pots, wont all the goodness leach out with the water that drains away? is that why the tomatoes pots have to be fed with liquid food so often? half of it gets lost with the water.
I was with some friends in poole, who have a veggie garden, and talking to them about their lettuce, he mentioned 'these are old and not good for eating' makes me realise that u have to harvest them while they are young. all those luscious lettuce leaves we see in the supermarket are young leaves. When they are old they look rather awful.
Also, how do u stop them growing flowers and going into seed? my salad plants some of them are flowering. i cannot eat flowers can i? and i dont want them to seed, so i spend time picking off the flowers. Gosh gardening is great for those people who like to fuss about them and want to potter about doing this and that to them.
Is it possible for people like me who just want to leave the plants alone to grow and produce huge amounts of crops, just watering them now and then, to be gardeners? It does not seem possible.
If i have to give up holidays because the plants makes it impossible to leave them by themselves ... they will be just as bad as keeping animals as pets. haha. At least rearing chickens can look after themselves if allowed to roam about and u can eat them afterwards... though a fox may get them. hmm, there is a lot more bother to all this grow ur own than they tell you.
I am beginning to understand why many just go to the supermarket and buy their veg.

exercising the mind

london
We hear often of old people having alzheimers. This is a condition when they lose their mind, they become forgetful, and incapable of remembering recent events, or forgot what they did recently.
Recently a few things happened that made me think we can exercise the mind by being mindful. What do I mean by that? Simply that i think it is observing what is around u, seeing how they interrelate, especially how ur actions and thoughts bring on consequences, appreciate simple things and the beauty and perfection in the smallest thing, or event fits in the whole world view and interpreting people's behaviour. being aware that not only our own actions and thoughts, but also of other people's actions and their thoughts can affect our lives, (also realising that u have a say in letting it come into or life or not)and living in awareness is a form of mind exercise that will keep the mind alert. We are all aware of physical exercise keeping the body in good condition so why not mind exercise keeping the mind alert?
3 things happened recently that made me think we can be more mindful and make our minds more alert, and prevent it from deteriorating.
A van nearly backed into me, when i walked behind a stationary van. The white reverse lights were on, but i did not notice these lights until the van came suddenly towards me and nearly hit me. The van driver was completely oblivious, even afterwards when i saw him move out of his parking bay... I was across the street then, and wagged my finger at him, but he did not see me, so intent was he looking for traffic behind. The spot immediately behind him is a blind spot.
It made me realise that I have not been aware. I resolve never go so close to the back of the van when crossing the road, even if the van seemed to be stationary. The driver cannot see you, and not all vans give out a beeping noise when they reverse. This one did not.
I shall cross in front of the parked van, and a distance in front, so the driver can see me.
The 2nd incident happened in the library. I saw this lady taking out her umbrella and packing books into a bag, and then she came towards me , said 'excuse me' and tried to pass me between me and some bookshelves. Yet, if she had gone the other way, she could easily have done so without any obstruction. She did not look around to find the most unobstructed way, but come towards me even though she can see there is no way for her without me having to move.
I would always see if i can go another way without inconveniencing people who are browsing the shelves , as i dislike to say 'excuse me' if it can be helped. It is the most abused words. (Someone in italy once told me, u can be saying aloud and continuously the equivalent in italian whilst elbowing people and kneeing them out of your way in a busy bus and it will be accepted). I find i get irritated with people saying that to me, when there is lots of room for them to pass, and if there is no room, i get irritated if they chose to come near me when they could have chosen another route. I know it is a small thing, but there u are, one can get irritated with these tiny things.
that lady most probably thinks she is the one being polite and considerate and that she gets irritated by people who try to squeeze past her without saying excuse me. She would think they are rude whilst i would think people like her are rude for not going another way which does not involve squeezing past me, as there is no room to do so. Just saying excuse me does not excuse her to chosing that route, in my opinion.
it would exercise the mind to see how u can find another route that will make your passing someone unobstrusive.
The third incident I heard yesterday. This is my friend who told me he was assaulted near his home, in east ham. I found out he was passing a bus stop, passing two asian kids who were sitting there. They were idling, as there was no bus running that route that day. He got a whack from one of them as he passed, and when he turned round to look, the boy said he was gesticulating to his friend and hit him accidentally.
He said he did not believe him, and was afraid that if he turns round he will be hit again. he stood looking at the boy waiting for him to give a better explanation, and got whacked. he had to go to hospital for stitches.
I said why dont u accept his explanation, take it as an apology and get away?
He said he did not believe him.
I said, it does not matter whether he was telling the truth or not, you pretend to believe him, and accept his apology and move away fast, instead of standing there, and confronting him. What purpose can it serve u to be standing there looking at him? What else is he going to do with u standing there as if u are looking for a fight, of course he whacked u first before u can whack him. Standing there looking at him is a signal u want a fight.
My friend refused to see it that way... and now he said he is afraid of going down that road, and yet he has to as it is the way home.
I was wondering whether all those newspaper articles where we hear some innocent boy was killed and that for no reason at all except he was at the wrong place at the wrong time, is due to this kind of response.
A kid making a lippy response, or making an insulting remark, in a situation where someone did something, and the whole thing escalated, resulting in a knife in the stomach.
My friend could have defused the situation quite quickly, but did not.
a bit more awareness would have served him better. And what is bad is that not being aware of his response, he might repeat this response again and get whacked again. And he will continue to be puzzled why he is being targetted, and be afraid, and make him respond even worse, and so on. I think that explains why some people are so prone to being assaulted whilst others have walked the same street many times and never get bothered.
I have seen people who take offense easily and aggravate things so much with their belligerent response that they or someone else gets hurt. privately i was thinking their souls must want it.

east west home's best

london
I was coming back in the bus from the sunday charity that i volunteer. The bus was 10mins coming, I did not mind, as I dont have anything planned. So time is not important to me and i was able to just enjoy the wait. I am thinking not many people like this kind of life with no plan, no purpose, living each day for itself, with no goals, no ambitions. It is an aimless life, which to most people, if not all, is not desireable. Everyone wants to live for something. But i just enjoy living.
I like it, but why dont others do too? It's a lovely life but no one i know lives like me.
I received the Marks and Spencer vouchers £20 worth yesterday, redeemed from the points I received from spending on my credit card. (I did not really spend that much money , it was simon who spent it on my card ) and am looking forward to spending it. I think of it as free money. haha. and so i shall spend it on things i would normally never buy. I shall have a wonderful time deciding what to buy. haha.

gay pride 2009

this was given away free. jute bag from http://www.gojute.co.uk/

these guys were giving out forms to enter a selfridges draw for a year's (36pairs) of calvin klein underwear. The guy at the far end has the most beautiful physique. (I did not see him on that day, and noticed his physique only much later, when i was looking again at my pics)

london
I enjoyed it very much. Walked to regents Street to wait for the march to come.
Rained a bit at about 1.30pm, but it soon stopped.
Drag queens really make the whole thing rather more colourful and interesting. Not many of them, but they really stand out. One passed by before the parade adorned in pepsi cola drinks clanking away below her skirt. it was a black guy and he looked magnificent.
Did not take a picture of him unfortunately and did not see him again.
I just walked down to leicester square after the parade, and got a free hemp bag, and then to trafalgar where I got more condoms, and stuff, and a friend i have not seen for ages tapped me on the shoulder.
He was the only known face i saw that day, apart from simon who was taking part in the parade.

I thought it would not be possible to see simon in the crowd, but his group stopped right in front of me, and even though he was standing on the other side to me, he noticed me and came round and gave me a kiss and posed for a pic.
The route is very short. from the beginning of oxford st to trafalgar square.
It was only when i returned to my flat that i realise there is a lot more going on in soho, with stage shows in the street. I forgot, but also I was quite ready to get back. There was a stage show going on in trafalgar Sq and I forgot all about soho. haha. Oh well, nevermind.
In the past I would join in the march, because in those days, there was only people in the march, no floats or anything. It was a show of pride and to get equality. But now of course, gays have achieved that in the law.
This does not mean we will be liked by everyone. And it is not necessary to be liked to have equality. Most gays forgot about this and mistake being accepted for being liked. People can accept that u have a right to ur lifestyle without having to like it. We gays have to do that all the time, accepting straights for their lifestyle without liking it. haha. and so it is the least we can expect others who disagree with our lifestyle to reciprocate. It makes for a civilised society.

Missed my bus

london
The soul is a funny thing. First time I miss the megabus that leaves poole at 10am . I have never missed a booking before. I know my bus leaves at 10am, and yet i took my time getting to the station, and thought it leaves at 11am.
so i missed it, and at first thought i shall return to the bus tomorrow and buy a ticket as i did not bring my credit card.
Luckily, i just recently topped up my mobile phone, so i called up simon on his mobile. I could of course call him up on john's phone. but john and his friend has allready gone to the isle of wight, last night so they were not at home. he was taking the midnight ferry. So i was on my own in his flat, john gave me a key. I am reluctant to use his phone without permission and with my own mobile phone there was no need to do so.
I got simon at home and he gave me my credit card number in my address book.
But when i tried to book the national express funfare, it did not accept the card. I realise that it was the old card number that i had reported lost. So i had to call simon again to get my credit card which i kept stored safely in my locked luggage at home. Times like this i m glad i am not living alone, and got someone at home to run errands. haha.
Anyway, i am backin london having gone through this little hiatus. Why my soul wants me to experience this i have no idea. It is a mundane experience, and quite common.
On boarding the national express bus, the lady ahead of me was refused to board as her ticket is for the 12.40 pm bus , which left 1hr earlier than this. She looked like a tranny, and i wonder whether she was going to london for pride. i hope she makes it, she was directed to the ticket office. I caught a glimpse of her fare, it was £18.Not sure if it is for return or single. I at least got it for £12 with added 50p for the reference number to be txt to my mobile. It is cheaper to txt it to myself on my phone, but the convenience was appealing.
Well, one lesson is dont miss ur bus. haha. Luckily the cost was not too painful. hehe.
So now back in my lovely flat and back in london. How lovely to be back, makes me wonder why i left. haha. Just joking, a little bit, as i enjoyed visiting john and enjoying the sex in studland bay and being naked.
Looking forward to Gay pride in london tomorrow.

I have realised that i can put the ref number of the bus booking on my mobile without texting it to myself. There is really no need to print out or ask them to txt the reference number.
I realise also how glad i am that i have moved to Asda mobile because my call only costs 8p a minute, and my txt 4p.

studland bay

poole
We went there around 3pm which turned out to be the right time, not too hot. The beach even the textile part was full of people, the most crowded i have seen since i started visiting it.
As usual we know where the nudist area is by seeing the guys standing against the skyline like meerkats on the lookout. haha.
Anyway, i found a shady spot, and was lucky that a guy came by and had sex with me. i prefer they come to me, as i m too lazy to go wandering all over the place looking for it.
So we had a nice time, with the guy straddling me to be fucked. he was very prepared with lube and condom haha. I would have liked to fuck him a long time, and up to a point the condom helped because you can lose some sensations when wearing it, but after that point u lose ur erection. It is thus one disadvantage of wearing a condom, and then u have to really thrust hard again to regain the feelings. I had restricted movement, as he was straddling me. And there was sand everywhere, and we have to be careful none of it goes into his crack.haha. Sex on the beach is all very well, but it cannot beat having it at home. haha.
Anyway, i had a nice time, had a nice orgasm.
(Earlier, whilst i was exploring the area, one guy approached me and asked why there is not much action. I have no idea if he is correct about it being actionless, but i hear there is national trust rangers patrolling the area, to prevent nudist straying outside the nudist zone, and/or having sex. Spoilsports!! So it is safest to play within the grass inside the nudist zone.
(Added. People esp the straights, and other nudists might object to our actions, saying it degrades the nudism movement and giving nudism a bad name. Does it? all this is done discreetly behind grass cover. Any one walking in the area wont see much, that is why the guy was asking me why there is no sex activity. If we gay guys looking for it cannot even see it, i would challenge anyone else to notice it.)
There were helicopters (or maybe just the same one) flying overhead. Are they spotters of illicit activity down below, and used to alert the rangers on the ground? who knows. But if they are, national trust has too much money to waste on such activity.
The time went fast, and it was 6.30pm by the time we made our way to the ferry to get to our car on the other side.
On the way, john drop me off at a friend's place. I was invited to dinner. John was invited too but had to decline as our friend came to stay overnight and john felt he had to entertain him.. He and john will be going to the naturist isle of wight party this coming weekend.
this couple i was having dinner with, are a chinese and english pair. they have half their garden given over to planting vegetables, and i saw a lot of varieties grown on such a small plot. First time i seen such a vegetable plot and saw how many things can be grown. Its exciting to me to see their vegetable plot. I know it is so mundane to get excited over a veggie plot. haha. but I would love to have one like that.
They are not naturist which does seem rather a waste as they are living near the best naturist beach in uk, namely studland bay.
