queen mother centre open day.

I was at the library, when i saw a leaflet at the desk stating it is a voucher for free entry to the queen mother centre open day today. so i took the voucher and went at about 7pm.
I really just wanted to try out the sauna, and made my way to the health suite and found out that i have to go back to the front desk to get a towel, and there is a deposit of £10 for a towel, plus the £1 hire fee. I should have known of this and bring my own towel. Anyway, i went back to my flat to get it as i live so nearby.
The lockers are locked with a returnable 20p. What surprised me was that it is a mixed health suite, men and women, and only one changing room for both men and women. There were 3cubicles for changing. No soap in the showers and because of the women present everyone had to wear some clothing in the sauna and steam room, or do as i did wrap the towel round me.
there were reclining chairs but it was a small room, and not v relaxing. The sauna was very small, can only seat 6 people and no standing room.
And the health suite is quite a distance from the gym or swimming pool. I dont like that, because it means u have to get dressed after ur workout/swim to get to the health suite, and then get undressed again.
in the past, i remember the health suite have alternate days for men only and women only. They must have decided this limits the attraction. This arrangement of combined sexes will attract straight men and women, I think. They can meet each other.
Well, it was nice to see the layout of this health suite, it used to be more spacious in the old days.I am even more glad of the gym i joined.Well, nothing is more gratifying than to compare and find my choice is better.
There were a lot of people in the whole centre that time i visited it, maybe because it was a open day and after work which is always peak hours for any gym. I dont like crowds and so once again am glad my gym has a cheap rate for morning, where there are hardly anyone. In the alternative universe, such freedom to use the gym almost all to myself will be charged at a premium.But not in this universe haha. and i m glad of it.
